Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: September 2026
Welcome to KA Skin & Medical Aesthetics (trading under KA Skin & Aesthetics LTD in Nottingham). These Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure we provide you with the highest standard of care and safety. By booking an appointment or receiving a treatment with us, you agree to these terms. Thank you for choosing us for your care.
1. Medical Consultations & Clinical Suitability
-
Mandatory Assessment: Every treatment is subject to a compulsory face-to-face medical consultation. This is to review your medical history, cross-reference contraindications, and assess clinical suitability.
-
Right of Refusal: As a medical establishment, we reserve the absolute right to refuse treatment if a procedure is deemed clinically unsafe, if client expectations are unrealistic, or if signs of body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) are present.
2. Booking, Deposit, and Cancellation
-
Securing Appointments: We reserve the right to request a booking deposit to confirm and secure your appointment slot.
-
Non-Refundable Booking Fees: All deposits paid to secure a booking are strictly non-refundable. This fee is fully redeemable against the cost of your booked treatment, but will be forfeited if the patient fails to attend or if the treatment cannot go ahead due to circumstances beyond our control.
-
48-Hour Notice: Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
-
Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Failure to provide 48 hours' notice, or failure to attend your appointment ("no-show"), will result in the immediate forfeiture of your deposit to cover clinical operating costs.
3. Legal Age Restrictions
-
Under 18s: In strict compliance with UK law, we do not perform cosmetic injectable procedures (including botulinum toxin and dermal fillers) on anyone under the age of 18.
-
Identity Verification: We operate a strict "Challenge 25" policy. Valid, government-issued photo ID will be requested to verify your age before any consultation or treatment.
4. Clinical Outcomes & Refund Policy
-
Biological Variation: Medical aesthetics involves living human tissue. Clinical outcomes vary based on individual anatomy, genetics, and lifestyle factors; therefore, specific aesthetic results cannot be guaranteed.
-
No Refund Policy: Fees are charged for the professional delivery of a medical procedure, the use of premium CE/UKCA-marked products, and the clinician's expert time and skill. Refunds are not issued for completed treatments.
5. Aftercare & Complaints Procedure
-
Patient Compliance: Patients must strictly adhere to the verbal and written post-treatment aftercare instructions provided by the medical practitioner.
-
Complications & Complaints: Any unexpected side effects or dissatisfaction must be reported immediately in writing (via email). The clinic provides comprehensive follow-up care and reviews all formal complaints within a strict clinical framework.
Having said that, Terms and Conditions (“T&C”) are a set of legally binding terms defined by you, as the owner of this website. The T&C set forth the legal boundaries governing the activities of the website visitors, or your customers, while they visit or engage with this website. The T&C are meant to establish the legal relationship between the site visitors and you as the website owner.
T&C should be defined according to the specific needs and nature of each website. For example, a website offering products to customers in e-commerce transactions requires T&C that are different from the T&C of a website only providing information (like a blog, a landing page, and so on).
T&C provide you as the website owner the ability to protect yourself from potential legal exposure, but this may differ from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, so make sure to receive local legal advice if you are trying to protect yourself from legal exposure.
What to include in the T&C document
Generally speaking, T&C often address these types of issues: Who is allowed to use the website; the possible payment methods; a declaration that the website owner may change his or her offering in the future; the types of warranties the website owner gives his or her customers; a reference to issues of intellectual property or copyrights, where relevant; the website owner’s right to suspend or cancel a member’s account; and much, much more.
